this could be misconstrued as procrastinating, but uh, moving on:
as part of the Poetry module this semester, we have to give presentations about either poetry in general, our own poetry or performance pieces. as the idea of me PERFORMING! my poetry kind of scares me, and i don't really have
that much knowledge of poetry as a whole, i'm going down the "hey, let me talk about myself for a little while" route, and because of this, i'll soon have another little "book" out for people to buy.
the space poem project(ps: it totally needs a better title, yes?)
a collection of poems based on, however loosely, the theme of 'space' - mainly the vast thing with stars in it and planets and so on, but also maybe the idea of distance, one's own personal space, and so on.
this came about because a lot of my poems have, completely coincidently, been about space. i think it all started with my Jupiter poem, and exploded from there.
anyway, the collection will explain it more than i can.
just a little mention, because i've not really told anyone about this so far aside from my lecturer, some uni friends who were stuck listening and my boyfriend.
i'm excited because i've never had an 'anthology' out before and even though it'll be self-published and sold via my Etsy, that's GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME.
<3 yay poetry. one of the few literary art forms that doesn't make me want to stab my eyes out.
